St. Ann’s New Priest-in-Charge Starts June 1 ‒ The Rev. Scott Lybrand Zaucha has accepted our call for a half-time position as “priest-in-charge.” After 12 months, his title will change to “rector.” Currently a deacon at St. Mark’s in Evanston, Scott will be ordained to the priesthood on June 16. Scott’s start date with St. Ann’s is June 1, 2018. Our gratitude goes out to Fr. Bill, who has graciously offered to make the transition seamless by assisting Scott with the Sunday service until he is ordained. Our gratitude goes out to Fr. Our particular thanks goes to the Search Committee, chaired by Mike Palmer, for their intense 18 months of surveys, small group discussions, listening to individual concerns by parishioners, research of potential candidates, developing interview formats, conducting Skype interviews with 4 of the candidates, bringing in the final 2 candidates for 3-day stints, including interviews, church services, and social time. The committee calculated that each member had spent approx. 470 working hours during the 18 months. We are very grateful for the parish’s prayers and faith during this time of discernment, and the Holy Spirit’s work in this search.
