The mission of the music ministry at St. Ann’s is to bring meaningful music to the worshiping life of the congregation, through the singers and instrumentalists of the parish. It is difficult to imagine our parish life or our worship without the choir and the other talented musicians who gift their music to us.

Rehearsals tend to be on Thursday evenings, at 7:00 pm. We welcome new voices to the Choir. For additional information about joining, e-mail Terree Emrich at music@stannswoodstock•org, or talk to her after the service.

About our Organist and Choir Director:

The choir sings under the leadership of  Terree Emrich.  Terree is a professor of music at North Park University.  She has established herself as one of Chicago’s premier pianists as a soloist, ensemble player and accompanist. Terree  joined the faculty at North Park in 1989 and served as director of the School of Music for seven years. She is pianist for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Symphony Chorus, where she has worked with many of the world’s leading conductors. During her summers with the CSO at Ravinia, she has played with violinists Miriam Fried and Gil Shaham, and, most recently, with world-renowned bass-baritone Bryn Terfel. As coach/accompanist for the opera program at North Park, Shofner- Emrich has prepared Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Riders to the Sea” and the world-premier of Philip Seward’s “Spreading the News,” among others, and has also prepared musicals for the Theater Department.

Bless, O Lord, us thy servants who minister in thy temple:
Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts,
and that what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

All seriousness aside:
